Experience the story of Texas in a whole new way with My Texas. With 128 full color pages My Texas engages the student using a unique, reader friendly, newspaper format. Instead of overwhelming the student with another textbook each issue consists of a 4 or 8 page handout covering a specific time period or topic.

Colorful maps, photos and illustrations are used to draw the reader into the fascinating history of Texas. That story is told as if it is current news, not a stale list of dates, where the people and places of the past come to life as if they were with us today. Interactive questions draw the student even further into the text, encourage the student to ask questions, and strive to create “teachable moments” between the student and instructor. Make My Texas a part of your students curriculum and prepare to embark on a journey neither one of you will ever forget.
My Texas consists of 20 single and 6 double issues. Each issue is further divided into bite sized articles focused on specific events or topics, giving you the ability to tailor each lesson to the interests of your student(s). Two mid-term tests and final exam are also included. The program is supported by an extensive 278 page Comprehensive Teacher’s Manual full of historical background, lesson plans, ideas for optional activities and copy masters.
Our Land Publications history programs have been used successfully in both public and private schools, charter schools as well as by countless homeschoolers. Click on the product links below for more information on the various components of My Texas.
